Trex Deck Cleaning in Colorado Springs: A Two-Tier Transformation

Trex Deck Cleaning

A beautiful deck deserves to look like one.

For this featured project, LH Powerwash cleaned a large, two-tier Trex deck at a home in Colorado Springs. With multiple levels and plenty of outdoor living space, this deck had accumulated the dirt and grime that naturally comes with Colorado weather and regular use.

The good news? Trex and other composite decking materials can handle a different cleaning approach than traditional wood, allowing our team to adjust the process to the surface we were working with.

Cleaning Trex vs. Traditional Wood Decking

Not every deck should be cleaned the same way.

Traditional wood decking requires careful pressure control because excessive pressure can damage the wood fibers, leave visible marks or create an uneven finish. Composite decking such as Trex is manufactured differently, which can allow for a somewhat more robust cleaning approach when appropriate.

That doesn't mean simply turning the pressure washer all the way up.

Professional deck cleaning is about choosing the right combination of equipment, pressure, technique and cleaning products for the specific material. For this Colorado Springs project, we were able to use more pressure than we typically would on natural wood while still taking care to properly clean the composite surface.

Bringing a Two-Tier Deck Back to Life

Large, multi-level decks are fantastic for entertaining, relaxing and enjoying Colorado's warmer months, but all that surface area also means plenty of room for dirt to accumulate.

Over time, dust, pollen, organic debris, footprints and everyday outdoor grime can dull the appearance of composite decking. The change often happens gradually enough that homeowners don't realize how dirty the surface has become until it's professionally cleaned.

For this project, we worked across both tiers of the deck to remove the buildup and give the entire outdoor space a cleaner, refreshed appearance.

Professional Deck Cleaning in Colorado Springs

One of the most important parts of exterior cleaning is understanding the surface—not just the equipment.

Concrete, wood, composite decking, stucco, siding and roofing materials all have different cleaning requirements. LH Powerwash adjusts our approach based on what we're cleaning so we can effectively remove dirt and grime without unnecessarily putting the surface at risk.

If your Trex or composite deck is starting to look a little worse for wear, it may not need to be replaced or refinished. It might just need a good cleaning.

LH Powerwash provides professional deck cleaning in Colorado Springs and throughout Colorado's Front Range for Trex, composite and traditional wood decks.

Sometimes a clean deck is all it takes to make the entire backyard feel ready to enjoy again.
